A.K. Shukla is  Associate  Professor  in the  Physics Department of  IIT  Delhi. He is also  University Pierre et Marie Fellow. His major areas of research includegraphene, carbon nanotubes, nanoparticles, Laser, Semiconductor & Superconductors, Raman Spectroscopy, Ion Implantation, Laser Annealing, Laser Ablation, Laser Induced Etching, Photoluminescence and Non-linear optical fringes.

P.K. Jha  is Associate Professor  in the Physics Department of  Deen Dayal Collage, Delhi University.  His major areas of research include Quantum nano optics, Laser assisted multiphoton processes in atoms, molecules and Quantum nano optics, Transport properties in the Nano materials.

  Manmohan is Emeritus Professor in the  Department of  Physics and  Astrophysics, Delhi University. He is also an Alexander  Humboldt Fellow and  Member  of  Royal Society of Chemistry and  Senior Associate  at ICTP  Trieste, Italy.  His major areas of research include atomic and molecular physics, laser physics,  Bose-Einstein Condensate and  nano physics.

The Nanomaterials are also of strong interest for fundamental study of  the semiconductor technology. The Nanoscience is the study of manipulating matter on an atomic and molecular scale. It has wide applications in areas like solid state, plasma physics and solar  cell, etc.This book helps readers to master the large variety of  physical phenomena and technological aspects involved in the  nanotechnology. Besides the quantum confinement  of  electrons and photons, it also elaborates on characterization by AFM, SEM, X-ray diffraction, Raman Scattering, Photoluminescence and Non-linear optical properties etc.The  book will be useful for graduate students as well as scientists working on atomic and molecular physics, chemical physics, defence technology, condensed  matter and Nanoscience.
