Dr. Pankaj Arora, currently working as Associate Professor at Central Institute of Education, Department of Education, University of Delhi for more than 18 years. He has been actively engaged in teaching and research in the area of Sex and Safety Education, Pedagogy of Political Science, Adolescence Education, Social Science Education, Education Youth and Democracy.

 He has published a book ‘Sex Education in Schools’ in Hindi, Gujrati and English with financial assistance from ICSSR.He has worked on various research projects funded by MHRD, Govt of India, ICSSR, UGC and University of Delhi. His upcoming book is Sex and Safety Education.

He has various research articles to his credit and have been organizing workshops for in-service teachers as well.

Dr Arora has participated at various national and international conferences in India and abroad.

Through this book, I have tried to pen-down the modalities for “A Democratic Classroom” for Social Science. Being a teacher of Social Science, I am sure you have a clear concept of Democracy as a way of Governance as well as a way of modern life.
