Dr. Rajinder K. Sharma, Assistant Professor, Department of botany, Govt. College For Women, Gandhi Nagar Jammu had his Post-Graduation, M.Phil and Ph.D from University of Jammu, Jammu. He has 13 years of teaching experience in Physiology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Thallophytes and Plant Tissue Culture. He is recipient of various international and National fellowships and Awards like Chinese Govt. fellowship-2000 from MHRD, Govt. of India, PDF from Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, Young Scientist Award-1998 and Innovative Science Teacher’s Award-2013 by J&K Council for Science and Technology, J&K Govt.  He has published 25 research publications in journals of National and International repute. He has also been awarded minor research project by UGC.  He has undergone various training programmes from various national institutes like TERI (New Delhi), CFTRI (Mysore) and IIIM (Jammu). He is member of several national scientific and research associations. He is a life member of Indian Science Congress Association, Society for Plant Biochemistry and Biotechnology and hind Agri-horticultural Society.
