Migration is not only a territorial shift of person or community, it encompasses occupational , economic, cultural or bio-physical shift of any entity. Indian rural economy with a special reference to its agricultural sector has been  a humongous recipient of the impact of migration. Both the push and pull factor have concomitantly impacted  rural-urban migration, within Indian territory and beyond. With a gradual increase of disillusionment on agriculture due to its  gradual decline in  contributing to net farm income and livelihood therefrom,  may invite a revisiting colonial economy  by pushing rural community towards urban centers. The present book is a unique empirical study carried out by  Chethana K at PG level under the guidance of Prof S K Acharya, and, we hope, the book will go drenching profusely the inquisitive minds of scholars and faculties across the disciplines  of social sciences.
