This book attempts to decipher indus script and the author claims
that words like 'KUAN" (Well), 'Khet' (FIELD), and 'Bael' (ox)', etc. were
commonly used then. The Script having 423 characters was the outcome of
verbal language. The origin of the language lies in object's drawing from
the immediate environment. Words of characters were formed by taking first
syllable of the functional name for phonetic value, and the written character
was derived from the artistic sketch of the functional portion of the figure.
